The Arc of Greater Tarrant County is a non-profit advocacy and support agency committed to empowering and creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disability and their families to be included in their communities and to make choices which affect their lives.

Adult Services Program Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer Licensed MSW who can supervise interns; will consider non-licensed MSW or BSW with 3 years experience. Must be willing to participate in community functions in the evening or on Saturdays
several times a month.

In concert with the Executive Director and Arc staff & volunteers:

- Provides individualized advocacy for adults and young adults not in public school
- Provides program coordination and supervision for contracted activities assistants
- Provides support for United Advocates meetings
- Provides social activities: Family Fun Night, Arc Dance, Advocate Holiday celebration
- Supports self-advocate volunteers at the Arc and in the community
- Coordinates agency community systems advocacy
- Follow-ups with families to measure outcomes of intervention
- Documents demographics, services and outcomes
- Provides written and oral reports on program activities, progress and outcomes
- Links people of all ages to individualized community activities, volunteer opportunities, supports, services, job programs, computer classes and educational opportunities, etc.
- Coordinates speakers and facilities for workshops, seminars and trainings such as caregiver workshops, self-advocacy training, professional seminars
- Maintains agency resource directory
